Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are two highly addictive RPGs only available for the Nintendo DS.
These two RPGs are remakes of the highly popular Pokémon gold and Pokémon silver games, with similar game play to their predecessors. They still feature their classic third person, top down views, and 3 main screens for game play navigation. The first screen is the “Field Map” where you control your character around the screen. Followed by a “Battle Screen” and the “Menu Screen” where you can configure all your game settings.
Encountering wild Pokémon will cause you to enter the “Battle Screen” for a turn based battle. All your Pokémon have health status or also referred to as “Hit Points” (HP). If a Pokémons HP drops below 0 it will faint and be unable to battle until it is healed. You can heal your Pokémon by taking them to a Pokémon centre or by using skills and items. However if you win the battle you will be rewarded with “experience Points” (XP) and collecting enough XP will allow your Pokémon to level up and evolve!
